ewi ER&S
ewi Energy Research & Scenarios is not-for-profit and considers itself to be a “knowledge factory”, dedicated to creating, spreading and utilizing new knowledge on increasingly complex energy markets. The energy world is currently experiencing a dramatic transition as a result of changing political and social environments as well as new technologies and innovations. These developments pose intricate questions, for which ewi ER&S hopes to find answers through practical, unbiased research with a strong foundation in energy economics.
In order to gain the most knowledge for academic, political and energy economic applications, ewi ER&S uses cutting-edge economic methods. Alongside theoretical economic analyses, ewi ER&S focuses on applying and developing quantitative methods. This includes detailed, computer-aided models of the European electricity and gas markets, as well as global energy markets such as coal and oil.
